Due
Due può avere molti significati, rappresentanti, da un lato, associazioni e interazioni con gli altri e, dall'altro lato, polarità differenti e contrapposizione. Nel simboleggiare associazione, il Due implica che i risultati individuali non sono realistici in quanto solo attraverso la cooperazione e il lavoro di squadra tali risultati sono perseguiti in modo migliore. Mentre la dualità è richiesta per la formazione della vita delle specie viventi che si riproducono in modo sessuato, è anche vista nella sua accezione negativa come contrasto al perfetto ed unificante numero Uno. Due rappresenta le polarità distinte quali bene e male, bianco e nero, maschio e femmina, destra e sinistra. Un polo non può esistere senza l'altro; questa idea di complementarietà è meglio simboleggiata dal Tao Yin-Yang. Le polarità possono anche creare conflitto e discordia. Nella valenza positiva, Due può essere considerato femminile, intuitivo e corrisponde all'istinto di protezione. Nella valenza negativa, Due può essere avido, soffocante e frustrante. L'aspetto frustrante è derivato dalla delusione e dall'insoddisfazione dello spirito umano a cui venga sempre negata la prima posizione.

Tre
Tre risolve i contrasti creati dalle polarità del Due, fornendo un risultato di una nuova integrazione e senso di interezza. Il mondo visibile è a tre dimensioni e mente, corpo e spirito insieme formano un essere umano. Nella valenza positiva Tre indica sviluppo ed apprendimento tramite l'esperienze della vita, è spesso associato alla buona fortuna e al denaro; può simboleggiare un gruppo di persone che si unisco per raggiungere uno scopo comune attraverso associazioni sociali o professionali; rappresenta la comunicazione di tutti i tipi (dramma, humor, ...); è associato alla fede e alla conoscenza. Nella sua valenza negativa può essere inteso come simbolo demoniaco o innaturale in quanto nessuna creatura al mondo cammina con tre gambe. Tutto ciò rende il Tre un numero molto potente da un punto di vista magico.

Quattro
Quattro deriva il suo significato da molte fonti. È il primo numero non primo, e, il tetraedro, la più semplice figura solida ha quattro facce. Da quest'ultima interpretazione viene quindi associato alla materia e alla Terra in particolare, così come la Terra è legata ai quattro punti cardinali (Nord, Sud, Ovest e Est). Un altro concetto legato a questo numero riguarda il tempo in quanto l'anno è diviso in quattro stagioni, i mesi hanno all'incirca quattro settimane e, secondo un punto di vista Cristiano, la vita di Gesù è raccontata tramite quattro Vangeli, ognuno dei quali è, a sua volta, legato ai quattro classici elementi alchemici di fuoco, aria, terra e acqua. Più in specifico il Vangelo di San Matteo è associato alla terra (in quanto insiste sull'incarnazione del Cristo nella sua forma terrena), il Vangelo di San Marco è associato all'acqua (poiché enfatizza l'importanza del battesimo), il Vangelo di San Giovanni è associato al fuoco (in quanto è quello più "spirituale"), mentre il Vangelo di San Luca è associato all'aria (in quanto è il più "lungo"). Nella religione ebraica il Quattro simboleggia il Tetragramma biblico, cioè le quattro lettere che compongono il nome di Dio e che sono tanto sacre da non poter essere pronunciate da nessuno. Nella numerologia cinese (così come in altre lingue orientali) la parola "quattro" è una omonima della parola "morte" e, da ciò, qualche ospedale non ha il quarto piano. Nella sua valenza positiva il Quattro rappresenta l'essere pratico (o "terra-terra"), mentre il fatto che sia il primo numero non primo lo lega ad una personalità composita che trae idee da fonti diverse e spesso in conflitto per elaborare un fiero modo di pensare "fuori dal coro".

Cinque
Cinque è collegato alla consapevolezza dei cinque sensi così come alla protezione. Rappresenta anche il servizio agli altri. È un numero dalle molte facce che collega lo stato fisico alla salute mentale, che governa l'abilità di pensare chiaramente e la capacità intellettuale. Rappresenta l'apertura a nuove idee ed esperienze, è altamente analitico e ha l'abilità di pensare in modo critico, ma può ponderare così eccessivamente un problema da fargli perdere significato. È la ricerca della libertà, dell'avventura.

Sei
Sei è relativo al tatto, alla bellezza e all'armonia. Il Sei possiede carisma, grazia, la possibilità di conversare con tutti, la diplomazia, la capacità di costruire relazioni in incontri a due. Tratta delle cose da cui si è attratti o da cui si trae piacere. Denota perfezionismo in quanto le operazioni 1+2+3 e 1X2X3 lo danno come risultato. Nella sua valenza positiva è associato ad una piccola somma di denaro ed è considerato il numero madre/padre. Nella sua valenza negativa è associato alla gelosia, all'infedeltà, all'amarezza e alla vendetta.

Sette
Sette è considerato un numero spirituale in quanto è illusivo e contiene veli che devono essere scoperti, uno dopo l'altro, per arrivare all'illuminazione ultima. Sette è detto sacro in quanto la settimana è composta da sette giorni, in Genesi la creazione è stata eseguita in sette giorni, l'antico sistema solare consisteva di sette pianeti, il corpo umano consiste di sette plessi o Chakra e qualche versione della Cabala è composta da sette sephirot. Nella sua valenza positiva possiede le qualità della consapevolezza nel sogno, nella spiritualità e nella sfera psichica. Nella sua valenza negativa è associato a dubbio, inganno e menzogna.

Otto
Otto è considerato un numero di influenza karmica che richiede il pagamento di debiti contratti nella vita attuale o in una vita precedente. Rappresenta un lavoro profondo e le lezioni imparate attraverso l'esperienza e può quindi risultare un numero "difficile" per le restrizioni imposte dalla sua natura. Più di ogni altro numero l'Otto rappresenta la ricerca di denaro e successo materiale, ma la sua natura implica il confrontarsi con rischi estremi e molti capovolgimenti di vita. Considerato l'importanza ai massimi livelli data alla reputazione e alla posizione sociale, coloro che ricadono in modo preminente sotto l'Otto dovranno condurre una vita onesta, in quanto ogni imprudenza sarà quasi certamente resa pubblica nel modo meno lusinghiero. Sebbene l'Otto nella cultura cinese sia considerato di buon auspicio, nella numeroligia cinese non gli è assegnata particolare importanza.

Nove
Nove era considerato un numero sacro dagli antichi e, di conseguenza, non venne associato a nessuna lettera dell'alfabeto caldeo. Rappresenta il cambiamento, l'invenzione e la crescita attraverso l'ispirazione. Nove è umanitario ed è stato ritenuto di particolare importanza dal fatto che occorrono nove mesi del calendario per la gestazione di un bambino.

Dieci
Dieci è la rappresentazione di Uno in una "ottava" maggiore e significa la fine di un importante ciclo dal quale scaturirà un cambio di circostanze. Dieci porta con se una grande carica di significato esoterico che è reso evidente dal fatto che una gravidanza dura dieci mesi lunari, in molte versioni della Cabala ci sono dieci sephirot, il sistema numerico più utilizzato al mondo è quello decimale. Le persone hanno dieci dita che usano per contare, portando ad una innata adozione del Dieci come base nel sistema numerico intuitivo. Da notare che Dieci è considerato un numero moderno di completamento perché è solo negli ultimi secoli che è stato utilizzato come blocco base di sistemi numerici, valuta e misura. Quando Dieci sostituì Dodici come il numero supremo, portò un cambio negli schemi mentali umani rendendoli più scientifici nell'approccio a questioni di natura esoterica. (I sostenitori di Dodici sono in disaccordo con quest'ultima affermazione).

Undici
Undici è il numero Due in una ottava maggiore ed è considerato un numero maestro (il secondo numero maestro è il 22). Undici è considerato la via della consapevolezza spirituale e la conoscenza oltre la comprensione altrui. Porta con sé vibrazioni psichiche e ha una uguale presenza di proprietà maschili e femminili. È anche associato ad apertura mentale, intuizione, idealismo e visione. Nella sua valenza negativa (proprio dovuto al grande potere di consapevolezza spirituale e all'acuto senso di sensibilità) è associato al tradimento di nemici segreti.

Dodici
Dodici è il numero Tre in una ottava maggiore ed indica un gran livello di comprensione e saggezza. La maggior parte della sua esperienza deriva dall'esperienza di vita, che permette ad un senso di calma di prevalere anche nelle situazioni più turbolente. Dodici era molto significativo nella vita umana antica per il fatto delle dodici tribù di Israele, dei dodici discepoli che seguivano Gesù, dei dodici segni zodiacali e delle dodici ore in cui è diviso un orologio. È considerato il numero antico del completamento come segnale della fine della fanciullezza ed ingresso nella vita adulta. In più sistemi numerici e di misura antichi erano basati su Dodici, ne sono esempio la dozzina, lo scellino (12 pence) il piede (che misura 12 pollici).

Tredici
Tredici è il numero Quattro in una ottava maggiore ed è uno in più di Dodici, l'antico numero della completezza. Tredici è associato il significato della fine di un ciclo, dal fatto che ci sono tredici mesi lunari in un anno e tredici sono i segni nell'astrologia celtica e dei nativi americani. Mentre Tredici predice nuovi inizi, significa anche che i vecchi sistemi devono terminare per favorire le trasformazioni richieste. Visto come 12+1 è il numero dell'iniziato, in quanto una ottava musicale cromatica è composta da 13 suoni differenti (anche se il primo e l'ultimo sono la stessa nota ma in ottave diverse). Nella geometria sacra Tredici simboleggia l'eterna distruzione e creazione della vita. Tredici ha anche un significato astrologico in quanto la somma dei primi 13 numeri dà come risultato 91 che è il numero di giorni di una stagione. Although numbers one to nine are used in modern numerology to determine character analysis and predict upcoming trends, other numbers do carry vibrational influences which must be taken into consideration to gain a more comprehensive picture of their essence:-

Zero is a powerful number which brings great transformational change, sometimes occurring in a profound manner. It has much intensity, so caution is needed wherever it appears to ensure that extremes are not encountered.

Because one is the first number used when counting, it contains great power, and without it there would be no numbering system as we know it. Every numerical system we are aware of has had one as its initial starting point. Because one signifies the beginning of an enterprise, it is very egocentric and prefers to be the center of attention. One can be happy, loving, romantic, dynamic and charismatic, but on the downside it can be egotistical, selfish and melodramatic.

Two relates to partnerships and interaction with others. Individual achievements are not realistic because accomplishments are best realized through co-operation and teamwork. Two is paramount in the formation of life because in this world we have two genders who couple to propagate the earth. One-to-one relationships are prominent because it symbolizes two people becoming close through intimate contact. Two is feminine, intuitive, and corresponds with our protective instincts. Negatively, two can be grasping, overprotective and cranky.

Three relates to expansiveness and learning through life experiences. It is considered to be lucky, and is often associated with money and good fortune. Three generally depicts several people joining together to from a common goal, whether a social or professional affiliation. Although three possesses attributes of wisdom, understanding and knowledge, negatively it can exhibit pessimism, foolhardiness and unnecessary risk taking.

Four is a number of stability and building for the future. It has much energy which is directed toward the achievement of goals, such as family celebrations or other notable events. Because this is a number of progression and growth, many original ideas are likely to spring forth from what appears to be thin air. Four is a solitary number which seems to be somewhat of a loner, even in the midst of a crowd. Because of the grounded qualities of this number, it has a tendency to be steadfast and can sometimes give the impression of being boring.

Five is a number which represents service to others. It is highly analytical and has the ability to think critically, but can over-ponder an issue to the point that its significance is no longer relevant. This number governs our ability to think clearly and our intellectual capacity. It is a multifaceted number with links to our state of physical and mental health.

Six relates to tact, beauty and harmony. It is very much a relationship builder which corresponds to one-to-one encounters. It deals with that which we are attracted to and those things we find great pleasure in. Six possesses charm, grace and the ability to make small talk on any stratum, and is therefore much of a diplomat. It is considered to be a minor money number, so a little extra income will be available wherever this number is found. Negatively, six can be unfaithful, jealous, bitter and vengeful.

Seven is considered to be a spiritual number because it is illusive and contains veils which must first be uncovered, one after another, before illumination will ultimately be found. Seven is said to be sacred, and this is evidenced by the fact that there are seven days in the week, ancient texts propose that the earth was formed in seven phases, the ancient solar system consisted of seven luminaries, and some versions of the kaballah have seven sephiroth. While seven possesses qualities of dreaminess, spirituality and psychic awareness, negatively it can be dubious, deceptive and insincere.

Eight is considered to be the number of karmic influences where we are called upon to pay debts incurred in this and previous lives. It represents hard work and lessons learned through experience, and can therefore be a difficult number for some because of the very restrictiveness of its nature. Because reputation and community standing are of paramount importance, those who have it figured prominently would be wise to lead honest lives, otherwise any indiscretions will more than likely be uncovered in a most unflattering manner.

Nine was considered to be a sacred number by the ancients and was consequently not assigned a numerical equivalent to any letter in the Chaldean alphabet. It represents change, invention and growth which springs forth from inspiration. Nine has traditionally held esoteric significance which is evidenced by the fact that it takes nine calendar months to bring a baby into the world from its initial conception.

Ten is a higher octave of the number one and signifies an end of an important cycle in which a change in circumstances will soon be forthcoming. It carries with it much esoteric significance which is evidenced by the fact that it takes ten lunar months to bring a baby from conception into the world, there are ten sephiroth in many versions of the kaballah, the most common number system used today is based on the number ten, and most currencies in use today have been decimalised. It should be noted that ten is considered the be the modern number of completion because it was only within the last several hundred years that is has been used as the fundamental building block of number systems, currencies and measurements. When ten replaced twelve as the ultimate number, it heralded a change in man’s thinking patterns to become more scientific in his approach to questions of an esoteric nature.

Eleven is a higher octave of the number two and is considered to be a master number. It carries psychic vibrations and has an equal balance of masculine and feminine properties. Because eleven contains many gifts such as psychic awareness and a keen sense of sensitivity, it also has negative effects such as treachery and betrayal from secret enemies.

Twelve is a higher octave of the number three and is an indicator of great understanding and wisdom. Much of its knowledge is gleaned from life experiences which enables a sense of calm to prevail in even the most turbulent of situations. Twelve is significant in ancient man’s life because there were twelve tribes in Israel, twelve disciples followed Jesus, there are twelve astrological signs in the zodiac, there are twelve months in the year, and our modern clock is divided into two groups of twelve hours. It is considered to be the ancient number of completion as it signals the end of childhood and the beginning stages of adulthood. Additionally, the ancient numbering and measuring systems are based on this number, as evidenced by terms such as a dozen (12), a gross (12 times 12), and a foot (12 inches). Negatively, twelve can suffer from a form of depression brought about by a feeling of resignation that life’s events have transpired in such a way.

Thirteen is a higher octave of the number four and is one more than twelve, the ancient number of completion. Thirteen is considered to signify the end of a cycle, as evidenced by the fact that there are thirteen lunar months in the year and thirteen signs in the Celtic and Native American systems of astrology. While thirteen foretells new beginnings, it also signifies that outmoded systems must come to an end to make way for much needed transformations.

Twenty two is a higher octave of the number four and is considered to be a master number. It contains the secrets to many esoteric questions, as evidenced by the fact that there are twenty two letters in the Hebrew alphabet, twenty two pathways in many versions of the kaballah, and twenty two cards in the Major Arcana. Twenty two carries with it psychic gifts such as heightened sensitivity, intuition and psychic awareness, but is also predisposed to pitfalls such as treachery from hidden enemies and over sensitivity.
